How to Install a Dolbe Surround Sound System

Surround sound systems have become increasingly affordable for most homes. This is a fundamental must have for anyone who is a fan of television, sports, movies, or video games. So what is the proper installation method for your surround sound system?

First you have to look at your room’s architecture before you install any speakers. If it is perfectly square then you won’t have a problem installing a 5.1 or a 7.1 system. A 5.1 system features five speakers, one for each corner of the room and one right in front of the television. A 7.1 system includes two more speakers that fit between the ones positioned in the corners.

Now carefully angle your speakers to where they are facing the interior of the room. This will insure that the sound is projected properly to the listeners while in use. The next step is to properly measure the speaker wire.

The length of your speaker wire should not be in excess to what you actually need. Installing speaker wire that is too long can lead to disturbance in the sound quality. You might also want to invest in some ends for your speaker wire as these can stop disruption as well.

After everything is plugged in you now have the perfect sound system. Be sure to use the calibration disk that comes with every surround sound system. This will ensure that all the speakers are working properly to their functional ability.
