Sunfire's Theater Grand III processor is simple to use and sounds so sweet
My heart just broke again. This time, my doctor did it. I surged with joy to discover that she owns a nice audio/video receiver—then I was crestfallen when I saw that she has only two speakers connected to it. How many times has this happened to me? I have lost count. But thanks to the Sunfire Theater Grand III preamp/processor, I have not lost hope.
My physician is just one of the many people I know who choose not to bother with home theater. For so many of us, today’s audio/video gear is just too hard to set up and too hard to operate. That is why people hire an expert to design and install their home theater system. In so many ways, that is a good thing. But would it not be nice if, on a Saturday night when your home theater is filled to capacity, you could troubleshoot a problem with your system on your own without having to call the installer? You at least have a fighting chance if you own a Theater Grand III.

When I plugged the Theater Grand III into my system, I was pleasantly surprised to get a picture and sound right away. With many preamp/processors, I have to fumble around in the menus for several minutes before I can see or hear anything. Setting up the Theater Grand III through its onscreen menus was just a matter of hitting the “menu” button on the remote control. From there, I did not stumble around. Instead, I moved easily and confidently from submenu to submenu, and finished the setup in about three minutes—without consulting the manual. Of course, I play with surround processors for a living; for a nonexpert, the setup might take 15 to 20 minutes and skimming through a couple pages of the manual.
