David Wiener Ventures, makers of the Art.Engine, have created the Art.Suono, an iPod dock and wireless audio transmitter.
The machined aluminum chassis has carbon fiber accents and weighs in at five pounds.
Some of the details are a little unclear, but there seems to be several interesting features.
The Art.Suono uses a proprietary wireless link between it and it's receiver, of which there can be two for use with multiple audio systems.
Audio isn't limited to just an iPod, other MP3 players, CD players, or any other audio source can be transmitted as well.
Also built in is "DWC-APHEX", an audio enhancement circuit that, according to DWV, "makes recorded music more “alive” by restoring the harmonics lost in compressed music files." It also adds in some bass where needed. As you'd expect from the name, the technology was developed by APHEX for this application.
Similar features as found on the Art.Engine, such as a "Start" button are also here.
The Art.Suono is available this month from David Wiener Collection dealers.
